Campaign
Phase 2 - Takeover Phase
Gangs go on the offensive, targeting each other's held settlements directly. The challenger picks the target; the defender picks the fight.
How It Works
Whoever issues the challenge chooses one of the opponent's settlements to be the stake of the battle. The challenged player then rolls on the scenario table below to determine how the fight plays out.
Takeover Scenarios
| D6 | Scenario | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 2. The Trap | The challenger is the attacker - except they walked right into it. Defender splits their crew into groups and deploys some at the centre; the attacker charges in from any edge. Attacker scores Victory Points for taking fighters out of action; defender for the same. Most VPs wins. |
| 2 | 5. Sneak Attack | The challenger sneaks in to defile the defender's gang relic before reinforcements arrive. Defender starts with only 5 random sentries; the rest come on as reinforcements. Attacker wins by defiling the relic. Fought on Zone Mortalis tiles. |
| 3 | 6. Smash and Grab | The challenger storms in to crack open the defender's loot caskets. Defender sets up 5 caskets in their zone and guards them. Attacker wins by opening at least 3; defender wins by keeping them shut. |
| 4 | 9. Looters | The challenger launches an all-out raid to steal from the defender's stash. Defender places up to 4 loot caskets and guards them; attacker rushes in from one edge. Attacker wins by claiming more caskets than are left on the table. Credits are actually transferred between stashes on a win. |
| 5 | 22. The Hit | The challenger sends a kill team to take out the defender's Leader. Attacker has priority in round 1 and the defender's fighters can only take one action each that round. Attacker wins if the enemy Leader is seriously injured or taken out of action. |
| 6 | 46. Takeover | A prepared assault to seize key points on the defender's turf. Defender places 3 landmarks; attacker deploys first and drives to capture them all. Attacker wins by controlling more landmarks than the defender at battle's end. |
